My April Journal

I'll be entering my notes and thoughts on this page--hopefully daily.  I may even go so far as to write down what I'm eating! 
Goal Weight:  135  
Goal Pant Size:  10       
Exercise Goal:  Currently, 4 days per week, but working up to 5-6 days per week.
Weigh-In Day:  Friday because I like to splurge a little on the weekends!
Body Type:  Thin/muscular arms & legs, big boobs, fat waist, and no hips.  Kind of like a guy.  I carry my fat in my belly.
Other:  Gonna start out slowly and see how it goes!  I'm also a breastfeeding mom!

Man!  This whole process is SO excruciatingly slow!  I think much of this is due to breastfeeding.  I think I'm the opposite of every other woman on the planet and breastfeeding actually HINDERS my weight loss.  I *gained* about 1.5 lbs. this week, but lost another quarter inch in the waist.  Ultimately, this is what I'm after.  I don't care about the number on the scale.  I just want to get rid of this belly fat and fit into those pre-preggo jeans.  Been a little lax about my diet, but I've also been hungry and it doesn't seem like restricting my diet too much is too helpful.  That doesn't mean that I'm gonna go crazy eating, though.  Doing well with all the water.  Alternating cardio with weights is working out well too.  I've ordered a Band Flex Home Gym (similar to a Bow Flex, but uses bungee cords for resistance) that I'm very excited about receiving and using--hopefully soon.  I have to say that a Cheesecake Blizzard from DQ is calling to me this weekend, so I may give in to that sometime!  All in all, I'm pleased that the measuring tape showed some loss!

No weight loss this week, but no gain either.  Lost 1/4-inch in the waist again!  Woo hoo!  Amazing since I've been off-program all week.  Just been feeling hungry, so I've been eating.  Gave in to the candy/sweets cravings too.  Will start fresh on Monday.  My Band Flex came this week and I've used it twice.  It's interesting.  Different than free weights or other machines.  I think I like, just need to get used to it and work out the kinks.

Ugh!  I've been eating so badly lately!  The sweets are just calling to me.  How am I EVER going to fit back into my old pants/shorts?  A gain this week and only have myself to blame. Grrr!

Been trying to do better this week.  Lost a half pound, but stayed the same in inches.  Doing great with the water.  Having a hard time with sweets.
